Why is global warming a serious threat?
The increase in temperature poses a threat to living organisms, humans included, and the planet in general. People may start contracting dangerous diseases and a large portion of fauna and flora become extinct. The melting of ice caps is going to lead to a rise in sea level and occasional floods in various parts of the world. Extreme weather conditions could become a reality, challenging us even more in the field of defence against natural disasters.
