Why do people buy designer clothes?
In my opinion, there are two types of people. Those who buy designer clothes because they simply appreciate good quality of the things they possess, and those who do it just to show off and become popular at school. It’s great if you really like top brands and can afford them. The problem begins when you are, for example, a teenager and you beg your parents to buy you extremely expensive dresses, shoes or trousers because you want to become a member of a particular group of friends. You think that you’ll become a part of them if you put on a brand new Valentino or Gucci dress you don’t even like and costs a fortune! If someone accepts you provided your clothes are expensive enough, the only thing you should do is to keep away from them and make friends with people who pay attention to who you are and not what you have on.
