Should people be allowed to keep pets in big cities?
I don’t mind keeping pets in big cities, we can’t forbid it. Pets are often the only friends and companions of some people. One thing that should be done is to introduce some regulations to make the owners clean after their pets. They should also make sure their “best friends” don’t run around free and unattended, and don’t pose any danger to passersby and small children. As long as the owners are aware of their responsibilities concerning having a pet, I don’t see a problem with it.
Keeping pets in big cities should be entirely forbidden. Not only are they noisy and make lots of mess anywhere they appear, but their owners don’t seem to be taking seriously the regulations that say they are obliged to dispose of the dirt left by them. Dogs of dangerous breeds, often not kept on a lead, may harm little children who come close to them with the intention of playing with them, or even adults who simply act in a way the dogs somehow find threatening.
