Should drugs be legalised?
My views on this subject are quite liberal. I think that if drugs were widely available to anybody over the age of 18 then not many people would actually want to use them. The key is the decreased desire to try the “forbidden fruit”, which drugs would not be anymore. I am also convinced that the legalisation of drugs would make it easier to gain access to the medical drugs that could save our health and lives. Another thing are the soft drugs like marijuana, which I think do more good than harm and are going to be used whether they are legal or not.
In my opinion, drugs are a lot more dangerous than cigarettes and alcohol combined. I can’t see any benefits resulting from the use of drugs. All I can think of is that they are highly addictive and, in a long run, make you less productive. They could also be the root of arguments, resulting in losing family and friends. This, in turn, could lead to the problem going from mild to serious. This is why I am all against the legalisation of any drugs.
