Killing animals for meat is immoral. Do you agree or disagree?

I absolutely agree with it. Breeding animals just to later make them die in great pain is nothing else but pure barbarism. The fact that we are the stronger species does not automatically give us the right to cause the weaker to suffer in the name of our convenience and false beliefs that meat is essential to survive. Apparently, vegetarians have no problems leading a healthy lifestyle and keeping a healthy diet. Animal cruelty should no longer be excused, especially that its level does not compare in size to any possible positive results of it, like having meat to eat.

It is not an easy question. I’m not a vegetarian, I like meat and I don’t think it is immoral to kill animals for it as long as we do it in a humanitarian way. Any type of unnecessary cruelty should be banned and severely punished, but taking their lives in least painful ways is what I can approve of. Meat is a source of proteins and priceless vitamins which we could have a hard time trying to substitute otherwise. Animals also kill each other for meat – these are the laws of the nature.
