Is it possible to like your job?

I truly believe that you can like your job. As long as you decide to work with what you really enjoy and want yourself, and not what others expect you to do or what there is a gap on the market for, you are safe. While I am aware of the fact that sometimes things don’t go the way you planned and your dream job can turn into a nightmare in a matter of seconds, I think when Confucius said “choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life”, he was generally right.

I never really thought about myself as an idealist and so, to tell the truth, I do not think you can like your job. Any regular person treats work as a way of making money and possibly an opportunity of professional development. You shouldn’t confuse it for entertainment and definitely not expect to get pleasure out of fulfilling set tasks.
