How important is tradition?
Tradition is naturally very important. Cultivating it is a way of showing appreciation for your own culture, cherishing your roots. It is also an inherent part of your national identity and I believe that anybody who is willing to acknowledge their background and is proud of where they came from should stay true to tradition. Being passed on from generation to generation, it is also a source of historical knowledge about how people used to live and what they valued years ago.
Tradition is not relevant to me. I like to live according to my rules and not give thought to tradition which often promotes old-fashioned ways of thinking and due to of its incompatibility with the changing conditions tends to limit our choices. Because of being “stuck” in the times where it was first created it also often doesn’t allow to make room for changes and improvements that could be implemented, which is completely unnecessary.
