Yes, I think the tabloids are a source of first-hand information obtained from people who follow celebrities in their activities on a daily basis. Pictures published in these magazines serve as proof to what the articles say. Apart from that, journalists working for this type of press seem the most committed to their job and genuinely interested in the subjects have been set to explore. I believe that this eagerness to research as well as great knowledge of the field make them release trustworthy “celeb news”.
In my opinion, tabloids are designed to fill the gap in the news market which is supposed to only inform celebrity-obsessed readers about the newest relationships or scandals that their idols have got into. In short, tabloids live off causing sensations and creating stirs while avoiding serious subjects at the same time. This fact makes me entirely convinced that they are not a reliable source of information.
