Dear Monica,
Thank you for your letter. It was really nice to hear from you after such a long period of time. I’m sorry for not replying immediately but I had a really hectic time at school. Luckily, it’s over now and I can enjoy my free time.
At the moment, I’m having a journey of my lifetime. My parents were so happy to see my good final grades that they decided to reward me. They went to a travel agency and bought a trip around the world! Well, you can imagine how surprised and happy I was.
At the beginning, we went to the USA. We visited cities like Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Miami, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco. I saw some incredible monuments and buildings. In America, everything is so big and impressive. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time to visit every interesting place there.
The next stop at our route was Asia. We were to Singapore, Japan, South Korea and China. In my opinion, Asian culture is simply amazing, even though I experienced some difficulties trying to communicate with local people. Anyway, I’m certain that I’ll never forget Japanese temples, Chinese Forbidden City and skyscrapers of Singapore.
Now, we’re in Europe. It’s the last part of our trip. It may surprise you but for me that part is the best. Our continent is old and has such a history to tell! Every corner of Prague, Paris and Rome is magical. Architectural wonders like gothic cathedrals and museums filled with masterpieces make me proud to be a part of that heritage.
Well, that’s all for now. I wish you were here with me. I took a lot of pictures. I can’t wait to show them to you. I hope that you’re fine. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
With all my love,
Jane
