Westminster Abbey is one of the most famous, historic churches in the Christian world. It’s situated near the Houses of Parliament in London. It’s a very important monument because almost   every royal coronation has taken place right there since 1066. In the abbey there are lots of tombs. Some famous  people are buried in the church including Charles Darwin, David Livingstone or Sir Isaac Newton.  At first it was just an ordinary church, but in 1050 King Edward The Confessor came up with the idea to build a monastery. The Henry VII Chapel is really one of the kind. We can admire its stained glass window depicting the Battle of Britain.
