Opisywanie swojego domu (Describing your house) – Example 1

I live in a small detached house in the suburbs of Gdańsk. It consists of three bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, a spacious living room and a cosy kitchen. There’s also a wonderful garden outside. It’s  full of tulips, roses, trees and bushes.

My room is located upstairs between the guest room and the bathroom. It’s my favourite place in the world.  There’s a big wooden desk next to my bed where I usually keep lots of different books, pens, pencils, rulers and others things. I also have  two comfortable armchairs, a little coffee table and a  rocking chair.

The living room is also a very nice place to relax after school or work. There’s a big brown sofa in front of a widescreen television and a  table with eight chairs.

My parents’ room is the place I don’t like that much. It seems a little too dark. There’s just a big bed and a wardrobe next to the door. I think that I couldn’t sleep in such a place. It’s very similar to our guest room.

My mum’s favourite place in our house is of course the kitchen. She enjoys cooking, baking and she doesn’t even mind washing up. She  loves red things, so she bought a big red table, a red microwave oven, red chairs and a red cooker.

My dad’s likes planting trees and doing the gardening in his free time. That’s why our garden  looks gorgeous.

I think that it’s my dream house and I can’t imagine my life anywhere else.
