Opisywanie swoich wakacji (Describing your holidays) – Example 2
When I was 9 years old, I used to spend each and every holiday at my grandparents’ in Zakopane. I always went on hikes and climbed a lot. There are so many interesting climbing trails in the Tatras that I just had to try them out. Of course I didn’t go anywhere alone. My grandparents were experienced mountaineers, so they used to prepare everything professionally. They often checked our climbing equipment, packed hiking maps and all the necessary things. I loved the mountain landscapes and communion with nature.
As Zakopane is located near the border with Slovakia, my family often took me there to show me some interesting places. I met there one of my best friends Libor. I even invited him to my grandparent’s place and we played a lot of Polish boardgames. That was very funny.
I will never forget all these summer memories from my childhood in the south of Poland.
